UPDATE: Tucker Has Been Adopted!
Thanks to the recent media attention Tucker received from the Seattle Pet Examiner and around the world, we were overwhelmed with inquiries from people all over the world who wanted to adopt her.
There were many wonderful people interested, but we felt that one family in particular was the best fit. Katie works at a vet clinic and she and her husband have plenty of experience caring for special needs kitties. They actually already have a cat, Poe, with many of the same symptoms that Tucker has! His skin bruises and tears very easily and he also has similar leg deformities. Katie has protective outfits custom made for Poe and their house is already been kitty proofed with his special needs in mind. We couldn’t dream of a better match for Tucker!
Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who expressed interest in adopting Tucker or shared her story. She is one of the sweetest, most special kitties we have ever met and we are thrilled she found the purrfect ending we were hoping for!

Tucker came to Purrfect Pals when her owners could no longer keep her. She is a very unique looking cat due to some genetic abnormalities but is very cute and lovable! Because some of her joints are not constructed normally, we have to be careful to provide steps and other accommodations so she won’t hurt herself.
Tucker also has an auto-immune disease that makes her skin very thin and easy to bruise. She has some patches of hair loss because of scabs that she pulls off. She is quite the fashionista! We have to keep her dressed in t-shirts to prevent her from doing too much damage to her skin.
Tucker is a super smart little girl who loves exploring the world around her and quickly became a favorite among our employees and volunteers!
