This beautiful, friendly one year-old black and white kitty is Xenon and she’s a true sweetheart. Xenon was transferred to Purrfect Pals from a local shelter transfer after being taken in as a stray and going unclaimed. She was not spayed when she was found and tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV). FeLV positive cats can live happy lives, although they are usually considerably shorter than average. FeLV is not contagious to humans or animals other than cats and is transmitted from cat to cat through casual contact and bodily fluids. Because of this, Xenon needs to either be the only cat in the home, have a room all to herself or be in a home with other FeLV+ kitties. She absolutely needs to be an indoor only cat. Xenon is a lovely, playful, young girl, barely past kitten hood. She is a bit shy until she gets to know you, but once she feels safe with you, she loves pets, scratches and affection. When she’s not eating or playing she really enjoys basking in sunlight. The odds are stacked against this sweet baby – her lifespan may be anywhere from a couple of months, to several years. Its possible Xenon was born outside and never had a real home before being found and brought in. We believe she deserves to have the pleasure of living in a real home with her very own people to love and care for her, for as much of her life as possible. While this sweet girl waits for her forever home, would you consider becoming her sponsor?
