New Beginnings for Two Grieving Kitties
One of the saddest things we see at Purrfect Pals is grieving kitties whose owners passed away far too soon. Earlier this year, one of our wonderful supporters lost her battle with cancer after a long, brave fight. The loves of Tara Jill’s life were her bonded kitties, Melody and Ivy Jane, and she entrusted Purrfect Pals with their care after she left us. One of the most special things about these girls is how much they adored and comforted their mom during her illness. Most of her photos of Melody and Ivy Jane were of them curled up in her lap or next to her in bed, often with a paw resting in her hand. They were there for her until the very end and we were determined to be here for them. The girls were understandably grief-stricken when they arrived at Purrfect Pals but slowly began showing us the vibrant personalities that Tara Jill loved so much.
We are thrilled to share that, earlier this week, Melody and Ivy Jane once again fell in love; this time with a wonderful family with two teen girls who were just as smitten. The girls were adopted and are now beginning the next chapter in their lives. We know Melody and Ivy Jane will never forget their first mom but that Tara Jill would have loved the family who opened their hearts and home to them. We are honored to have been part of their journey.
