Arwen

  • Adopted by: Rebecca Joseph

Purrfect Ending Story:

“We adopted Arwen a decade ago now!! At the time, we were living with someone who had a dog who didn’t love other dogs, but had zero reaction to cats. We also knew we wanted kids someday, so we were looking for a cat who had successfully lived with dogs and kids before. I came across Arwen (then Marlo Thomas) on Petfinder and fell in love with her gold eyes. She had been with Purrfect Pals for about a year I believe. She was a month older than the dog we lived with, so similar middle-aged temperaments. We came to meet her and I fell in love. And the rest is absolute history. She’s not perfect (we learned on the drive home from adopting her that she gets carsick…that’s always a good time) but she’s perfect for us. She’s been an absolute joy with our two kids (8 and 2), she’s so patient and loving with them we sometimes jokingly refer to her as the cat version of Nana from Peter Pan. She’s converted some of our “dog people” friends due to her almost aggressive need for love and attention. I am so lucky that we’ve been able to share her life for over a decade. Thank you for taking care of my sweet girl before we adopted her!”
