Purrfect Pals Earns BBB Accreditation

ARLINGTON, WA – August 16, 2018 – Purrfect Pals is proud to announce its recent Better Business Bureau Accreditation. As a BBB Accredited Charity, Purrfect Pals is dedicated to BBB’s 20 Standards for Charity Accountability, a comprehensive set of best practices for how charities that go beyond the requirements of state and federal regulations in critical areas of operations: governance; measuring effectiveness; financial management; and fundraising and communications.

Purrfect Pals applied to become a BBB Accredited Charity because for more than 100 years, BBB has helped people find businesses, brands, and charities they can trust. More than 90 percent of consumers recognize the BBB logo. Displaying the BBB Accredited Charity Seal shows the community that Purrfect Pals upholds rigorous standards of ethical charity practices.

Purrfect Pals, a non-profit organization in Arlington, WA, was founded in 1988 on the belief that every cat matters. Purrfect Pals operates a no-kill sanctuary for cats with special medical and behavioral needs which is currently home to cats positive for FIV and Feline Leukemia, feral cats, geriatric cats and cats with chronic illnesses. In addition to caring for these cats and finding homes for the cats and kittens in their eight Puget Sound adoption centers, Purrfect Pals provides a free spay and neuter voucher program and community pet food bank for low-income cat owners.

In 2017 and 2018, strong financial health and a commitment to accountability and transparency also earned Purrfect Pals the highest possible rating, 4 stars, from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator.
