Feral and Barn Cat Resources
Purrfect Pals believes that EVERY cat matters, including Community, Feral and Barn Cats. We help community cats and kittens by offering free spay and neuter surgeries to feral cat caretakers, through placement of feral cats in barn and warehouse homes, and through informational resources.
Humane Cat Trap Rental
Humane feral cat traps are available at Purrfect Pals for free rental (with a refundable $75 deposit) from Purrfect Pals. Please email us to find out if we currently have traps available. If all of our traps are in use, please visit our list of other local organizations who also offer this service.
Free Spay and Neuter Clinic
When available, Purrfect Pals provides vouchers for free public spay and neuter for cats and kittens which can be redeemed at participating low-cost spay and neuter clinics. These vouchers are intended to help owners and caretakers who are unable to pay for surgery at low-cost clinics.
Vouchers cover the cost of surgery only. Any additional services (vaccines, microchips, testing, flea control) are the responsibility of the owner or caretaker.
Please email us to request a voucher.
Purrfect Pals occasionally has cats available who are candidates for barn or warehouse homes. Some of these cats are extremely feral; they don’t really want to have anything to do with people. Some are outwardly friendly, but have a history of aggressiveness or habits that make them less-than-ideal candidates for home adoptions. But many of these cats are perfect candidates to live in a barn or warehouse, where they can scare away mice and live close to people who provide them food, water, and shelter.
Please email us to find out if we have barn cats available. If not, other area organizations are listed on this page for your convenience.
