This is Little Cat but we call her L.C for short. L.C arrived at Purrfect Pals in 2019 where it was discovered that a simple heart murmur was something much more than anticipated. L.C was diagnosed with Non-restrictive perimembranous ventricular septal defect. Non-restrictive defects are large defects that allow a significant amount of blood to flow from the left side to the right of the heart. This results in excessive blood flow to the lungs, high pulmonary artery pressures, extra work for the heart, and congestive heart failure. Her diagnosis still remains guarded but that does not stop her from living her best life in her foster home. L.C gets in plenty of cuddle time with her foster mom, endless supplies of treats (medication that tastes like tuna) and she absolutely loves cuddling with her adopted brother Swy. L.C gets to see the wonderful staff at Olympic Veterinary Cardiology, every few months for her checkups where she is always on her best behavior.
