Spike

  • Adopted by: Christiane Woten

Purrfect Ending Story:

I adopted Spike when he was a little over a year. He was a deaf, one-eyed cat who had some aggression issues and already one failed adoption. It took awhile but he eventually settled in. He was absolutely fearless, and used to go for walks with me on a leash where he would expect people walking by to stop and pet him. He came to story times at the library and interacted with small children! He used to sneak out and visit my neighbors—just wandering in any open door. It has been four years since Spike died and I miss him every day. There are so many Spike stories and he has not been forgotten in my neighborhood! He was such a remarkable cat, though, and I miss him so much. I don’t imagine I will ever have a cat with this much personality again.
