Stroopwafel aka Waffles

  • Adopted by: Delany Steele

Purrfect Ending Story:

“When our older cat, Bagheera, passed away we knew that eventually we would welcome another fuzzy family member…but we had a specific requirement that made finding the perfect cat a little difficult. Our 140 lb Tibetan Mastiff, Zuko, LOVES kitties but they don’t love him back. We knew that we had to find him someone who would let him love them unconditionally. Enter Waffles. We first heard about Waffles from his foster mom (a co-worker of Ben’s mom) and the more we heard the more he seemed to fit the bill. The day that all 3lbs of Waffles arrived was probably the best day of Zuko’s life. Even though his new cat was smaller than his snout and fell over any time he was kissed, Zuko couldn’t believe he finally had his own cat. Their relationship grew and now we are regularly treated to a tiny 9lb cat dangling off our giant bear dog’s mane while they wrassle. When not terrorizing the household Waffles is lights out on the cat bed that he stole from the other cat (who he adores…the feeling is not mutual, but he’s growing on her) or being a melty orange puddle in front of the woodstove. We love him to bits and are so happy that he came into our lives.”
