Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

Our Adoption Process:

Adoption Donations:

  • $125 for Kittens under 6 months
  • $100 for Cats and Kittens 6 months or older
  • $150 for Bonded Pair of Adult Cats (1 year or older)

Please Note:

Potential Adopters must complete our Pre-Adoption Questionnaire and an interview with an Adoption Counselor.

Because each and every cat and adopter is unique, this process can take an hour or longer. We are committed to setting you both up for success and the interview process will determine whether your lifestyle and the cat’s personality are a good match.

Adopters must be 18 years of age or older and we require landlord approval if you rent your home.  To avoid delays, please bring a copy of your lease agreement (if applicable) and photo ID.

Offsite Adoption Centers

Because of our rural location, Purrfect Pals has developed a robust network of offsite adoption centers and special events.  Housed in pet stores and veterinary clinics, our adoption centers are fully staffed by volunteers who care for the cats and match them up with potential adopters.

We currently have eight adoption centers throughout the Puget Sound region.  Our cats and kittens are available for adoption at our shelter in Arlington, in Petco stores, Petsmart stores and Denny’s Pet World.  Purrfect Pals currently has a team of 500+ active volunteers who help make our offsite adoption program a success.

PPals_0023Permanent Foster Program

Our “permanent foster” program matches up special needs cats with families who commit to caring for them long-term.  Since Purrfect Pals remains their legal owner, we are able to provide lifetime medical care (related to their pre-existing conditions) for the cats. We have been very successful placing cats, including those who need hospice care or have FIV or Feline Leukemia, in homes thanks to this program.

The permanent foster program is a great option for older or low-income cat lovers who want a lifetime companion but cannot afford the medical care a special needs cat will require.
