Purrfect Ending Story:
After the death of our 21 year old cat at the beginning of 2017, we became foster parents for Purrfect Pals. We fostered three litters of kittens before Derby, Dana, Daphne, and Dora arrived. We were only supposed to have taken care of them for about a week but they kept giving each other eye infections and upper respiratory problems, delaying their adoption event four times! We were sure they were determined to stay together for as long as possible! They ended up staying with us for almost two months, by which point we had fallen in love with Derby and Dana (now Mike and Mia). Their sisters were finally able to attend adoption events and they found their wonderful, forever homes while Mike and Mia nestled even deeper into our hearts. Mike always took good care of all of his sisters, bathing them and cleaning their eyes when they were sick. He still takes good care of Mia, who is a total lap cat. Mike loves curling up with our Border collie (who is not so sure about this kind of attention) and Mike and Mia’s favorite activity is chasing each other around the house which, at times, sounds like a herd of buffalo! We are delighted to be called “foster parent failures,” for having adopted two of our foster kittens, though we know Purrfect Pals calls that a success!
